This week’s Daily Paintworks challenge is to paint an interior. This was from a photo I took of fresh flowers in front of a painting. It is 8×10, acrylic on stretched canvas. If you are interested in purchasing this painting, here’s the link to the auction:
This painting is from a photo I took last summer at the Jersey shore. It is a tough job to carry all the equipment necessary to relax on the beach! Acrylic on 8×8″ 140 lb. watercolor paper. Auction at Daily Paintworks http://www.dailypaintworks.com/buy/auction/191827
This painting is 8×8 acrylic on paper. It was painted quickly with the idea of loosening up to get back in the swing of painting.
I’ve done a lot of dog portrait commissions in the past and they have been reasonably realistic. This is a painting I had fun with today, painted from an old photo, and painted with a sense of play. I will do more of these because it was so freeing. After being away from painting, there is a bit of reluctance to begin. What to paint and other questions arise. I figure play is a good way to begin.
