Scottish Landscape

Virtual Paintout is a site that travels virtually to a different location in the world each month. Scotland is January’s location and artists are invited to look at Google Street Maps and choose a spot to paint, almost like en plein air.  You can click on the map and using the yellow pegman, turn around and crop and adjust your view, or even take a virtual stroll down a side street to see if there is something even more beautiful to paint there.  I chose this location in North Kessock, Scotland, called Old Mill.  To me, it is so charming.  Take a look at all the submissions at Virtual Paintout, and if you are a visual artist, maybe find a spot to make a painting. Google encourages artists to use their images.×6-inch?ref=shop_home_active_1
